This policy explains what personal information Tropika collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to reflect how this site actually works, and our obligations under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

What we collect
We only collect what we need to sell to you and support you afterwards.
When you place an order
Your name, email address, phone number, billing address, delivery address, the items you ordered, and your order history. We keep a record of the order itself, including its status and any delivery tracking number.
When you create an account
Your name, email address, phone number, and any delivery addresses you save to your address book. Your account also records activity on it, such as orders placed, addresses added or edited, and changes to your details, so that you can see what has changed.
When you write a product review
Your name, the rating and review text you submit, and the fact that you purchased the product. Reviews are published on the product page with your name.
When you contact us or request a consultation
Through our contact form or OEM consultation form: your name, company (if given), phone number, email address, country, and the details of your enquiry. These are stored on this website and emailed to our team.
When you subscribe to marketing
Your email address and name, only if you have actively opted in. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in that email.
Automatically
Standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, together with cookies as described below.
How we use your information
- To process, pack, deliver and support your orders
- To operate your account and show you your order history
- To answer enquiries and arrange consultations
- To publish product reviews you choose to submit
- To send marketing emails, only where you have opted in
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud
- To meet our accounting, tax and other legal obligations
Payment information
We do not receive or store your full card details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider, who handles the card data directly on their own systems. We receive only confirmation of whether a payment succeeded and limited reference information such as the last four digits and card type.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the parties needed to fulfil your order or run this site:
- Delivery partners: your name, delivery address and phone number, so your parcel can be delivered
- Our payment provider: to take payment securely
- Our email provider: to send order confirmations and, if you opted in, marketing emails
- Our hosting provider: which stores the website and its database on our behalf
- Authorities: where we are required to by law
Cookies
This site uses cookies to keep your shopping bag between pages, to keep you signed in to your account, and to understand how the site is used. Cookies that make the bag and checkout work are essential. The site cannot function without them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may then stop working.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we are required to keep them for accounting and tax purposes. Account information is kept while your account is open. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry and consultation records are kept only as long as needed to deal with the enquiry.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you may ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date
- Stop using your data for marketing
- Limit how we process your data, where the law allows
You can update most of your details yourself under Akaun Saya. For anything else, email us at inquiry@tropika.my and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to order and customer data is restricted to staff who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Our products for babies and children are intended to be bought by a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
